Exclusive: Saudi Arabia vs UAE Match Officially Cancelled at Arab Cup 2025
The match between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, scheduled to determine the third-place winner at the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025, has been officially cancelled due to severe weather conditions.
Heavy and continuous rainfall hit Khalifa International Stadium in Doha, making it impossible to safely continue the match. The first half ended in a goalless draw, but at the start of the second half, the referee suspended play and ordered both teams off the pitch due to worsening conditions.
An attempt was made to resume the match later, with a new kickoff time set for 4:30 PM Mecca time. However, the return of heavy rain prevented any restart, leading the match officials to take the final decision to cancel the fixture.
